LAYYAH - The rescue teams on Saturday found the body of Punjab Rangers Director General Maj-Gen Muhammad Nawaz from river Indus. The helicopter of Maj-Gen Muhammad Nawaz had crashed into the river near Layyah four days ago. The Rangers DG, his ADC and son Captain Asif, pilot lieutenant Colonel Amir Abbas and Subedar Obaidullah were in the copter when it crashed. None of the occupants of the chopper survived and a search operation from Taunsa Barrage to Guddu Barrage was conducted to find out the bodies. Three bodies were already found and two of them were identified as those of Captain Asif and Lieutenant Colonel Amir Abbas. The body of Maj-Gen Muhammad Nawaz was found after hectic efforts of four days.
