LAHORE - Former Test cricketer and manager of the Pakistan cricket team Shafqat Rana has urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to restore the previous status of regional cricket bodies by lifting ad-hoc to end the ongoing crisis.  Shafqat voiced to support the regional cricket bodies saying ‘they are the backbone of cricket’ and putting them under ad-hoc will serve no purpose as those who served the game previously with honestly and devotion will once again be elected in the fresh elections.  He called upon the PCB to acknowledge the contribution of regional bodies in the country and said snubbing them through negative tactics would ruin cricket at grass root level. He said the PCB's act to put nine bodies out of 11 under ad-hoc came as big shock and surprise as Lahore, Karachi and other bodies were shouldering the PCB's efforts for identifying new talent. –APP
