KASUR - A seven-year-old boy was clubbed to death when he tried to intervene in a quarrel between his father and the accused in the remits of Changa Manga police station.

Reportedly, Sajad Ahmed quarreled with one Ghulam Haider at village Kot Natha over a petty issue.

Later, Ghulam Haider allegedly attacked Sajad with clubs along with his accomplices, including Sharafat Ali, and Ali Muhammad. While the rival were beating Sajad with clubs, Ali Raza, a seven-year-old son of Sajad came to rescue his father but was hit in the head with clubs and died on the spot. Sajad was rushed to hospital in a critical condition while the accused managed to escape.

Police were investigating the matter.

ROBBERY: MAN DEPRIVED OF CASH, CELLPHONES

A gang of three robbers deprived a businessman of cash amounting to RS550,000 with in City Police precincts on Tuesday.

Shakeel Ahmed was on his way after withdrawing cash amounting to RS 550,000 from a bank when three unidentified robbers intercepted him near the PML-N District Office on Shahbaz Road and snatched cash and cell phones from him. Police were looking into the matter.

MOTORCYCLES SNATCHED: Robbers snatched two motorcycles in separate hits on Tuesday.

Three robbers snatched a motorcycle from a Khadim Hussain near Darbar Baba Mithu Shah in the remits of Mustafabad police station.

Separately, two robbers deprived a Muhammad Jamil of his motorcycle near village Jamsheir kalan in the Saddr Pattoki Police precincts.
