Karachi- Dr Saira S. Khan, Founder President of the Medial Aid Foundation and Rahat Kada Hospice briefed about the vision and mission of the Medical Aid Foundation while exchanging views with Haroon Agar President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the visit to KCCI they stated the NGO in Karachi was promoting the much needed awareness for cancer, primary health care services, social services along with operating Rahat Kada Hospice service for the terminal cancer patients established in 1991.
She lamented that cancer in Pakistan was in an epidemic form and they needed a new building for Rahat Kada to house more cancer patients at a time.
Muhammad Haroon Agar stressed upon the need of collective enterprise to create awareness for cancer and chronic diseases and promote primary health care services.
Exchanging views with Dr. Saira S. Khan, and Rahat Kada Hospice, Haroon Agar stated that precious human lives can be saved while creating awareness through community development programmes in respect of health and hygiene at the community and union council levels. Collective and volunteer efforts are required in this regard. He appreciated that the Medical Aid Foundation was doing a noble job while providing free cancer treatment to the less privileged class.
