LAHORE - Punjab's youthful karate players dominated the Opening day of the Inter-provincial U-14 Boys Karate Championship by winning the three main here on Tuesday. Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Dr M Salah Tahir was the chief guest on the occasion. In 35kg, Punjab's Kazim Raza grabbed gold medal, Nazir of Sindh won silver, Mubeen of KPK and Amir Khan of Fata attained bronze medal. In 50kg, Rehan Safdar of Punjab clinched gold, Rashid Ali of Sindh took silver and Bilal Khan of Fata and Aqib Javed of KPK got bronze. In the Individual category, Nazir Ahmed of Sindh snatched the gold, Bilal Khan of Punjab won silver while Haris Habib of KPK managed bronze. In the other three individuals categories, Punjab snatched gold, Sindh bagged silver and KPK got bronze medals. –Staff Reporter
