Dacoits rampaged through the city, depriving people of cash, cellphones and other valuables worth Rs7.2 million in different incidents here the other day.According to detail, four dacoits, two of whom in Elite Force uniform, riding a green plate car intercepted oil dealers Mian Sajjad and Abdul Samad at Kot Ranjeet in the remit of Factory Area Police and snatched Rs6 million and other valuables from them at gunpoint.After the incident the police reached the spot and cordoned off the area. However, the dacoits succeeded in flee the scene.Separately, another four armed dacoits stormed into a toll plaza situated near Ferozewattwan on Faisalabad Road in the remit of Bhiki Police and looted Rs1.2 million and cellphones after taking the toll plaza employees hostage. The outlaws succeeded to flee after resorting to aerial firing.In another incident some dacoits entered a shop at Saddr Chowk in the limit of City A-Division Police and looted Rs70,000 and other valuables from the shopkeeper. The police have registered a case. In the meantime, thieves lifted a motorcycle of one Sagheer Ahmad which he had parked outside the Trauma Centre in the jurisdiction of same police station. Police have registered a case.
