Two soldiers killed in Quetta

QUETTA - Three people including two personnel of security forces were killed in different incidents of target killing and landmine blast in Nushki and Subatpur districts on Tuesday.
Police said unidentified armed men sprayed a volley of bullets on two security persons at Jinnah Road of Quetta and fled away swiftly. Both received critical wounds and died on the spot.
Police and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the site after the incident and cordoned off the area. The deceased were shifted to hospital for medico legal formalities where they were identified as Mushtaq Ahmed and Nasir Abbas. “Deceased belong to Punjab who had come to bazaar for purchasing mobile card when they were shot dead,” police sources said, adding that the incidents appeared to be a case of targeted killing. However, no group claimed responsibility for the attack immediately. In another incident, a man was allegedly planting a landmine in Kalani area of district Subatpur when it exploded and killed him on the spot.
Police said the blast tore the body of the man into pieces, adding that investigation into the incident was underway.
Moreover, explosives planted with the house of a man, Khan Bugti, in Gott Mir Jan Bugti area of Dera Murad Jamali blasted with a bang. Resultantly, a portion of the house was damaged. However, no loss of life was reported.
