Sharifs condole Majeed Malik’s death

ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of former federal minister General (retd) Abdul Majeed Malik.  The Prime Minister prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul with eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss, said a press release on Saturday.

He said the professional and political services of late General (retd) Abdul Majeed Malik would be remembered forever. Malik was a great national asset, who served the country to the best of his professional competence while in service and later served the people of his area by actively joining politics, the Prime Minister added. Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of Abdul Majeed Malik. In a condolence message, the Chief Minister paid tributes to political services of the deceased and said that Lt Gen (R) Abdul Majeed Malik was a true Pakistani and patriotic politician and his services in political and social sectors will be remembered for a long time.

The Chief Minister expressed sympathies and condolence with the bereaved family and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
