Imran Khan, who had claimed in the Buner rally the other day to announce a final date for his second long march, told the charged crowd that they would wait for the apex court verdict regarding their peaceful protest in Islamabad. He appreciated the people of Dir and directed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan to construct a big stadium in Dir as this ground was too small to accommodate his workers.
Coming hard on the incumbent federal government, Khan said the rulers were unable to run the affairs of government because of the record inflation. He said the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had asked him (Imran Khan) to increase the prices of petroleum products by Rs 10 per litre, but instead he decreased the prices by Rs 10 per litre, he claimed.
“My life and death is for Pakistan, and I refused to bow down before anyone but God,” Imran said.
“We wanted to save our people from global price hikes and aimed to get money from elsewhere to offer respite from inflation,” he said, adding that the price of all commodities increased when petrol and electricity were more expensive.
He alleged that his popular government was ousted under a planned conspiracy as the PML-N leadership always polished the boots of American master.
“We will never accept this corrupt and ‘imported’ government in Pakistan,” Imran Khan said, adding the government was increasing prices of fuel and electricity on the IMF dictations. He said that he was not ready to accept slavery of America that was why his government was toppled. He said the government had promised to increase taxes and end subsidies.
Imran Khan said that his government had tried not to put additional burden on common people in the shape of taxes and price hike but the incumbent government was doing so to appease its American masters.
The PTI chief alleged that the USA, India and Israel were behind this government as all of them were involved in the conspiracy against his government. He said the rulers were destroying the country and its economy. He said there had been a tsunami of inflation in the country during this government and the rulers were unable to control the situations.
Referring to the Moodis’ report, he said, the national economy had recorded negativity during the past few weeks, adding the economy was boosting in our government.
The PTI chief again demanded fresh polls in the country and said that he would give a call to his workers soon. He asked the party workers to be prepared for the general elections and get united against these rulers. He said there should be a government of people in Pakistan. He asked the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to remain impartial as the people would never trust it if it showed any partiality.
Imran Khan asked the “neutrals” why they did not defend the country against the “conspiracy” to oust his government and reiterated that fair and transparent elections were the “only way out” of the crises the country was facing.
The party workers hoisting the Pakistan’s national flags and party flags warmly welcomed him at the Government Technical College Wari ground, when he reached the rally in a helicopter.
The PTI lawmakers from the region, party workers and locals attended the rally which was also addressed by former defense minister Pervez Khattak, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan, PTI MNAs Sahibzada Sibghatullah, Bashir Khan, MPA Fazal Hakim and others.
