On the Lahore incident, I apologize to Sri Lanka. I also wish to encourage them to continue playing cricket with Pakistan even though, according to my understanding, they had agreed to play in UAE, a safe, neutral venue, instead of Pakistan. I really did not know they were playing in Pakistan. I am sorry and know very well that this is not a very nice thing to say at this time. But truth has to be told to save the next generation of cricketers. All cricketers from all countries, particularly those from the Asian region, must co-operate with investigators. We must look into different types of facilitators of terror rather than focussing our investigations on the prime suspect everywhere, the Al-Qaeda. While it is true that Al-Qaeda is the ideologue, it must have some facilitators. -MARYAM SIDDIQUE, via e-mail, March 3.
