LAHORE - Lahore's Ambreen clinched gold in Women 800 M final as 57th Pakistan Railways Divisional Athletics Championship 2009 got underway at glittering Railway Stadium at Garhi Shahue. Colorful ballons and Pigeons were released during the opening ceremony when Sami Ul Haq Khilji, Secretary/Chairman Railways inaugurated the event and took salute / March Past. Railway's ten Division's 350 men and women athletes from Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Workshops, Headquarters, Multan, Sukkur, Karachi, Quetta and Railway Police are appearing in the event. Farooq Aziz, President/PRSB, Saeed Iqbal Khan, Vice President/PRSB, Rana Abrar Ahmad, Secretary/PRSB, Sports Officer Rashad Mehmood Butt and other high official of Pakistan Railways were present on this day. PRSB's officials expressed deep sense of grief and sorrow over the Lahore Incident. Heavily armed militants attacked the Sri Lankan team bus as it was being taken by police escort to the Gaddafi Stadium for the start of the third day of Second test. They prayed that Allah, the Merciful may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant patience and solace to the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity. They also prayed for recovery of all injured persons and reserve umpire Ahsan Raza who was critically wounded in the assault and currently fighting for life at Services Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Federal Minister for Railways, be chief guest during concluding ceremony on 5 March (3.30 PM) and will distribute trophies, certificates, medals to the teams and individuals.
