KRL all out for 296 in Quaid Trophy final

SIALKOT - KRL team was all out at 296 in its first innings by adding only 88 runs in its overnight score 208 on the second day of the Quaid Trophy final being played here at Jinnah Stadium. The top scorer Azhar Ali only added 11 runs in his overnight 88 and was trapped lbw by Sarmad. Other scorers were Ali Khan 42, Muhammad Waseem 24, Saeed Anwar 30 and Jaffar Nazir 17. KRL side failed in setting up a big chasing target for Sialkot Region because its most the batsman failed in showing good performance in the match. Nayyer Abbas captured three wickets for 54 while Naveed Arif, Sarmad Anwar and Bilawal Bhatti took two wickets each respectively. In reply, Sialkot Region scored 189 for one wicket in 53 overs with Naeem-ud-Din and Bilal Azmat 70 and 20 not out. Kamran Younis 86 and Naeem-ud-Din registered a partnership of 150 runs and provide a strong hold to their side. Kamran Younis played a superb inning and scored 86 with the help of thirteen fours and three sixes but he was bowled by Junnaid Khan.
