Vultures

The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has changed the status of long-billed vulture (Gyps indicus) and slender-billed vulture (Gyps tenuirostris) from "vulnerable" to "critically endangered" species in South Asia. It seems that IUCN missed to analyse the growth of "Vultures" in almost every institution of the country. Nothing to worry about for we are capable of exporting these endangered species to any other country in a sustainable manner for a very long period of time. DR. IRFAN ZAFAR, Islamabad, March 3.
