KARACHI - PML-N Secretary Information Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan, on Sunday, condemned the recent increase in POL products' prices, terming it as the continuation of the PPP's anti-people policies.

Speaking at a ceremony after inaugurating certain development schemes in Manzoor Colony, the PML-N leader announced that accountability of the present rulers was started from the day of the Senate election. "The government has misused funds for the success of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's son in the by-poll to a Multan constituency," he alleged while adding that after winning the next general elections, the PML-N would hold the accountability of corrupt elements.

Khan maintained that senators from his party would spend their funds for the betterment of the poor and development of neglected areas.

He announced that he would use his funds of Rs16 million for construction of roads and development of sewerage line in Manzoor Colony. PML-N leaders Nehal Hashmi, Dr Taj Mohammad Khan, Captain Safdar, Malik Akhtar and others were also present.

German Day:?The CAS School observed German Day at which German Consul German Dr Tilo Klinner was the chief guest.  The main feature of the event which was held in the school grounds in Phase  Eight was an adaptation of the German novel: Das fliegende Klassenzimmer (The Flying Classroom) written by Erich Kaestner, a German author, poet and screenwriter known for his humorous and socially astute poetry and children’s literature, Students of the German language programme from classes  7 to 9 performed in the German play which included dance and a song. 

The script was an adaptation from the original novel.

The programme began with students of class 10 giving individual presentations through which they shared their experiences with the audience about their visits to German language camps in Germany and India.

The students of class 7 had also prepared 3D projects on the lifestyle prevalent in Germany which were displayed at the school.

The performance was attended by parents, students and teachers. 

The German Consul General, Dr. Tilo Klinner, appreciated the event and praised the students for their efforts. The Director of the Goethe Institute, Dr Markus Litz also appreciated the students efforts and keenness to learn and speak Deutsch.
