SHEIKHUPURA - The lawyers observed a complete strike and boycotted of courts proceedings across the district against Karachi carnage here on Monday.
District Bar Association President MB Tahir said that the federal and Sindh governments had completely failed to protect the citizens and maintain law and order in the city. Passing a unanimous resolution, the bar called on the government to find permanent solution to the prevailing unrest and demanded Army deployment both in Karachi and Quetta if the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) could not handle the situation.
It is to be noted at least 49 people lost their lives and more than 145 sustained injuries in high intensity blast in Karachi on Sunday, weeks after a bomb explosion that killed more than hundred people in Quetta's Hazara Town.
