NOORPUR THAL - PML-N MPA Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu taking serious notice of unavailability of drinking water and faulty sewerage system in different areas of the city has ordered the TMA to review the situation and solve the problems of local residents in consultation with them.  He issued these instructions while listening to complaints of the residents of different areas of the city in an open court at Tehsil Council Office here on Monday.

A total of 34 complaints were lodged to the MPA which mostly related to faulty sewerage system, patchwork, streetlights, unavailability of drinking water, cleanliness and encroachment.

The MPA issued orders for the redressal of complaints on the spot.

SHO booked: A station house officer was booked in a case of 11 people who died after taking poisonous liquor.  Regional Police Officer Muhammad Amlish had taken a strict notice of the deaths in Darya Khan, district Bhakkar. The RPO ordered the registration of a criminal case against the SHO City for negligence and dereliction of duty.

Following the order, the police have arrested the SHO.

The 11 people expired due to taking liquor on February 27, 2013. Meanwhile, he warned that whosoever from the police force was found to be involved in trade of liquor, narcotics, gambling and prostitution would not be spared and zero tolerance would be adopted in this regard.
