QUETTA - The activists of Wahdatul Muslimeen Balochistan staged a protest demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club on Monday against deadly bombing in a Shia area of Karachi that killed 48 people and injured more than 150 others.

Muhammad Ali Shah and Syed Yousuf Agha led the protesters shouting for their demands and carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans. Addressing on the occasion, speakers said that federal and provincial governments were making tall claims but in fact they have failed to provide security to the people, particularly the Shia community.

They said that the killing of Shias continues unabated in Quetta, Karachi and other parts of the country and rulers were taking no earnest step to get rid of sectarian violence.

They said it was because of government inaction that after murder of hundreds of innocent Shia people in Quetta, the perpetrators carried out huge blasts in Karachi that killed and maimed so many innocent people. They demanded the government take serious and immediate action against the terrorists.
