Misbah-ul-Haq's overcautious approach denied Pakistan to move up to the third position in the Group-B, as green caps could have grabbed the third easily, had they beat lowly UAE by 140 odd runs in the fourth match.

Pakistan was all set to register a huge victory, but Misbah failed to utilize his bowlers when it mattered the most. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)'s policies are much hard to absolve for masses, as for the third time in running, Nasir Jamshed was given nod of approval despite a super flop as a batsman as well as a fielder. He once again included in playing XI for the third time, but he again gifted his wicket while attempting to play similar stroke. He continued to enjoy liberty and his poor run had already cost Pakistan dearly.

Although Ahmed Shahzad and Haris Sohail put up 160 runs third-wicket stand, but they consumed too many precious deliveries, Pakistan could have easily posted a target of 400 plus, had they played with aggression against the ordinary bowling. Instead of sending Sohaib, himself and Umar, Misbah should have sent Boom Boom Afirdi after the fall of Haris’ wicket, but as everybody is aware of Misbah's hesitation to take bold decisions, Afirdi was kept till the final overs. Afridi did show some glimpses of his batting, but he had left with a very few deliveries. Had Afridi came earlier, Pakistan team could have easily posted more than 400 runs on the board, even than Pakistan posted a decent total of 339-6.

Another area of concern for men in green was the way they gifted their wickets to ordinary bowler Guruge, who captured four wickets. If green caps couldn’t face UAE bowlers, then how could they be able to face mighty South African bowlers?

Pakist an managed to take three UAE wickets with just 25 runs on the board, its true M Irfan left the field after bowling just three overs, yet Misbah should have go all-out for a kill. Misbah should have understood one simple fact and that was to bowl out UAE as quickly as possible. Pakistan could have easily overtaken West Indies and they were all set to even grab second spot from Proteas, but Misbah was least bothered about keeping an eye on other things as well, he just prolonged the UAE innings without realizing the impact it could have on overall standings.

PCB chairman Shahryar Khan is not more than a toothless figure, he let Moin Khan off the hook on Najam Sethi's pressure, he can't implement minor orders, and how would it be possible for a man like Shaharyay to take Pakistan cricket to new heights?

It is high time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif must have mercy on entire nation and appoint his favorite Najam Sethi as chairman of the board, as Sethi is making all the shots in the board, why a dummy person is given such a high-profile office? Pakistan cricket is being destroyed by a few certain individuals, otherwise, there is no dearth of talent, the players are capable of beating any top side of the world. Pakistan team can't afford any further infighting; Shahryar should either step down or else make decisions in the best interest of the country.

Though the green caps defeated Zimbabwe and UAE, yet their real test starts with South Africa clash and in the last group-B match against Ireland, who will not be as easy as UAE.
