Islamabad - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan yesterday took notice of installation of mobile phone towers in residential areas of the federal capital, saying these were causing harmful impacts on the health of citizens. The minister directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

In a statement issued here, he further directed the FIA to examine alleged illegal installation of mobile phone towers at inappropriate places in the capital. He said the FIA should submit its report within a week time. In view of report, further action would be taken against the responsible ones.
