SWAT - Nine alleged militants have been arrested here at Charbagh town during a search operation initiated by the security forces on Sunday morning after the militants set on fire a high school for girls. The officials informed that the operation would be continued, however, they didn't disclose the identity of the arrested persons. Earlier, some 80 to 100 armed and masked militants entered the premises of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Charbagh on mid night between Saturday and Sunday and torched the school. Nine classrooms were completely gutted. Before leaving, the militants planted two high intensity explosives. The police contacted the bomb disposal squad in the morning but the squad failed to diffuse the bombs. Later both the explosives were blown up with firing from a distance. The dwellers of the town were unable to come out of their homes due to the nighttime curfew in the region.
