BAHAWALPUR - Two patients of dengue fever have been detected at the Bahawal Victoria Hospital, confirms the health department of Bahawalpur.

Both the patients, Kashif Ghaffar  and Hassan Ejaz, got infected from Karachi and Lahore respectively but they failed to recover from the virus despite treatment there and now have been admitted at the BVH, Bahawalpur for further treatment.

District Health Officer Dr Saeed Asghar said that both the patients were our of danger now and we have arranged special precautionary measures in the residential localities, of these patients and we were fully alive to the issue.

He added that an all-out preventive measures are underway to save people from this disease.

EDO Dr Ehsanullah Warraich said that special beds had been reserved for any case of dengue at all the basic health units and rural health centres besides hospitals of the Bahawalpur district.

He said that preventive measures  could save the people from the virus.

 so people should cooperate with the health department.

 He said that all the tests and treatment would be free of cost.
