ISLAMABAD - The first batch of marble mosaic women trainees from Mansahra have successfully completed their three months training session at Mansahra.

In this connection, a certificate distribution ceremony was held at King Abdullah Physiotherapy Hospital Mansahra. CEO, Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC), Ihsanullah Khan distributed the training certificates among 47 women trainees who completed their training session successfully.

Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC) in collaboration with IPALMO Italy set up a marble mosaic training project at Mansahra to promote women skill development and entrepreneurship culture in the area.  Speaking on the occasion, CEO PASDEC, Ihsanullah Khan said that PASDEC is promoting skill development and women entrepreneurship culture to promote self employment and alleviate the poverty at remote areas of Pakistan.

He thanked IPALMO Italy for facilitating the project at Mansahra.

Marble mosaic training provides opportunity of entrepreneurship and earning livelihood, he added. He highlighted the importance of mosaic skills and said that the raw material required in marble mosaic making is very cheap and masterpieces can be developed at nominal production cost. The fast growing usage of marble mosaic in construction material and buildings is confirming its huge potential.

The women trainees of Mansahra showed great interest in learning mosaic making and were highly motivated by the training and expressed their keen interest in utilizing the skills learnt as a step toward self employment.
