ISLAMABAD - Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Khan Raisani on Friday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The issue of missing persons, law and order and the developmental projects in the province were discussed during the meeting.  Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the President during meeting emphasised upon the need for taking urgent steps to address the issue of the missing persons in consultation and coordination with all relevant departments.

The President also inquired about progress in the investigations in the case of Khalil Dale, who worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).  It may be recalled that Khalil Dale went missing from Quetta in January and his body was found recently.

Issues relating to Gwadar Port were also discussed. The President said that the full benefit of Gwadar Port will accrue only when the highways and ancillary communication infrastructural projects relating to Gwadar Port were completed in time to facilitate the movement of goods.
