LAHORE – Pakistan Board, Wapda and Railways registered victories in the 2nd PHF U-21 Women Hockey Championship here at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday.

The first match of the day between Pakistan Board and Sindh was closely contested which was won by Pakistan Board by 2-1. Gulnaz Parveen was the key player for the winning team as she smashed two superb goals in her team’s victory. Sadaf was the only goal scorer for the losers.

Ambreen burst three superb in Wapda’s 10-0 crushing victory over Balochistan in the second match of the day. Wapda played attacking game throughout the match and slammed seven goals in the first half and added three in the second. Fakhra and Shahida Raza managed two goals each for wa[da while  Irum, Sehrish and Sana Arshad struck one goal each.

The third match saw Railways outpacing Punjab Colours 6-2. Mayira Sabir once again shown her worth and managed three important goals for her team while Marina Anwar, Kalsoom Shahzadi and Aqsa Mumtaz had one goal each in their team’s win. Kalsoom Munir and Sadia Akram scored one goal each for the losers.

Sindh will face Pakistan Board for the fifth and sixth position match at 10am while Punjab Colours will take on Punjab Whites at 3pm for the third and fourth position match.
