RAHIM YAR KHAN - The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested a former forest guard in a corruption case, registered against him. As per detail, former forest guard Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Taranda Muhammad Pannah Town, was wanted in a corruption case, which was registered by the ACE one year ago. He however, went into hiding and was at large since then. On a tip-off, the ACE Circle Officer arrested him during a raid. The case was registered following the theft of timber of 50 trees worth Rs400,000. One Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar, a resident of Taranda Muhammad Pannah submitted an application to the Forestry Department regarding the theft incident. The department after a thorough investigation found the accused guilty and ordered registration of the case. The ACE handed the accused into the custody of the City Police for further action.
