LAHORE A 70-year-old passerby, who suffered multiple bullet injuries during crossfire between two students unions of MAO College, in Islampura police area died at Mayo Hospital on Friday. The deceased was identified as Shahabul Din. According to an eyewitness MSF Chairman Humayoun Butt along with his several armed companions opened fires on their rival party led by Bobi Gujjar over college dispute. He said that both of the parties started indiscriminate fires, without any fear of police or other law enforcement agencies. Meanwhile, heavy police contingents reached the spot and shifted the injured man to the aforesaid hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. Earlier, traffic observed gridlocks on the Main Road leading from Chuburji to Data Darbar pertaining to the incident. No case was lodged till filing of this report whereas the accused men of both parties are still at large. Further investigations are underway.
