OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The Lahore High Court Friday called for a detailed report on the defects/flaws detected in the online examination system operational in the province-wide educational boards. On the petition filed by the students through Advocate Muhammad Azhar Siddique, the court wanted to learn about the factors and causes that a flawed online examination came into existence disturbing and mentally agonizing thousands of students of intermediate and secondary classes. During hearing of the petition, the court learned from the petitioner counsel that the system was filled with defects consequentially thousands of students fell victim to that. He held the bureaucracy responsible for running a faulty online system to secure its own specific interests revolving around making of money and getting commissions. The law officer informed the court that the system had been held in abeyance at the moment after defects were detected therein and efforts were on to remove and fix them. The court on that adjourned hearing till December 12 with a direction to the government to furnish a comprehensive report on the proposition how such serious flaws crept into the system and on whom responsibility lies for the same by the next date of herring.
