British singer Paloma Faith is set to headline a London concert to raise funds for a refugee charity. The Picking Up the Pieces star is slated to play an acoustic set at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, north London on 22 November alongside rock band Peace and “special secret guests”. Proceeds from the event will go to the charity Help Refugees, which gives aid to those seeking asylum in European countries after fleeing war and violence in the Middle East. Paloma says, “I’m devastated to see what these people are going through, it could just as easily happen to anyone of us. So I’m glad to do what little I can. We all should.” She is not the only celebrity campaigning for the refugees - Tom Hiddleston recently wrote a newspaper article urging the U.K. Government to protect children from violence in war zones, and Benedict Cumberbatch has also asked British politicians to do more to help solve the crisis.
