Islamabad - Golra police have arrested two persons who have allegedly killed their real brother in complicity with their step-father over a family dispute, a police spokesman said yesterday.
According to details, the police got information on October 19, 2015 about a corpse hanging with a tree in sector F-12 following which Golra police team reached the scene and identified the deceased as Muhammad Asif.
His brother told police that he was cook by profession at an office in sector E-11 and used to return home late. He further said that family members tried to contact him on October 18, 2015 but in vain. In his statement, he did not express doubt on any one following which his post-mortem was conducted.
It came to know that Asif was strangulated to death and it was not a suicide. Following this report, police registered the case (283/15) under relevant sections and started investigation into the matter.
A special team headed by DSP Idrees Rathor was constituted which started collecting evidence and came to know that Asif did not come to the office on the day of his death. Police team also came to know from their sources about a dispute in his house on the same day following which his brothers Yusuf Ali and Shehbaz and step-father Muhammad Riaz were involved in the investigation process.
It was revealed during the preliminary investigation that Asif was strangulated by them and later they hanged his body from a tree to show it a suicide. Police have arrested the alleged killers and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Bhara Kahu police have arrested a person impersonating military commando. According to the police, Muhammad Rehan was intercepted during patrolling in the area and he told the police that he was not a military commando rather used to wear commando uniform. Police have registered a case against him and further investigation is under way.
Meanwhile, a carry van (VF-184-ICT) hit two persons on Kashmir Highway near G-13 yesterday, causing death of both of them on the spot.
Sumra Bibi (35) and her son Kashif (12), residents of village Bokra, were crossing the road in the limits of Ramna police station. The dead bodies were shifted to the hospital.
