Computerised exam system opened at SALU

KHAIRPUR - An opening ceremony of computerised examination system was held at Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur yesterday.

Prof Dr Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur inaugurated the Computerised Examination System at the Office of the Controller of Examinations.

Talking to the ceremony Prof Dr Parveen Shah said, we have shifted from manual to computerised record of the appearing candidates in the annual examination side. Dr Shah said, it will provide an opportunity to the students for getting their credentials from the Controller office.

The vice chancellor said, it will also strengthen the mechanism of transparency in examinations and reduce the work load of the staff.

On this occasion, Prof Dr Syed Asif Ali Shah, Controller of Examinations briefed the Vice Chancellor about the salient features of the computerised cell established over there. He said the verification, pass, date of announcement, eligibility certificates, mark sheets and final degree could be obtained through computerised process.

It will be covenant for the students and source of facilitation for the institution in the greater interest of the community and students.

It is recalled that this system has been designed by Aijaz Ahmed Soomro, Programmer, Examinations Wing.

Prof Dr Parveen Shah announced to award Rs 10,000 from her salary and Prof Dr Syed Asif Ali Shah also awarded Rs 5,000 to Aijaz Ahmed Soomro on account of his meritorious services as appreciation for designing the cited system.

Prof Dr Taj Muhammad Lashari, Media Coordinator, Madah Hussain Qureshi, Secrecy Officer, Ghulam Shabbir Kumbhar, Assistant Controller of Examinations, Haji Faiz Muhammad Phulpoto, Qalandar Bux Bozdar, Syed Lal Shah and others were present on this occasion.
