JI to move SC against ‘KE’s sale’

KARACHI - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Engr Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has announced approaching judiciary against KE’s sale without repaying due amount to people of Karachi.

He announced this on Friday while addressing an open house public hearing held at the Karachi Press Club (KPC) in connection with the atrocities being imposed by the KE management. He also announced knocking the doors of apex court against the KE’s proposed sale.

JI leader said that for more than one year a petition of JI against the KE has been in pending before an honorable court. He added that the situation itself is a question on the credibility of the judicial process in the country.

He said that people would compel KE’s goons to runaway by forces if they do not mend their ways.

He said that KE’s administration has minted billion of rupees illegally. They extorted people of Karachi at an unbelievable extant.

Criticizing political parties for their silence over the issue, he said that it is unfortunate that the ruling political parties enjoyed government for more than a decade but did nothing to provide justice to people of Karachi. JI would not leave people of Karachi alone in this regard, he added.

Earlier, people of Karachi presented their cases and asked the JI leader to get their issue resolved. It was also announced on the occasion that the JI’s committee on KE will take up cases of general public at the JI Karachi headquarters Idara Noor-e-Haq.
