Rawalpindi - Police have traced the cell phone data of the young man who was shot dead by two unknown gunmen here at Ghausia Chowk.

The mobile data revealed that the deceased, Aizaz, had a dispute with three of his friends over some issue who later murdered him by shooting him into head, said DSP Farhan Aslam here yesterday. “The reason behind the murder seems to be a quarrel on some issue. However, we will soon arrest the killers,” he said.

He said special police teams have been formed to conduct raids to arrest the fleeing accused. He said police first lodged FIR against unknown killers but now the accused have been traced.

Two unknown killers shot dead a young man Aizaz at Ghausia Chowk here at Tahli Mohri on Thursday night while he was going along road. On the other hand, fear and panic gripped the staffers and students of SLS Montessori School at Lalkurti when security guards resorted to aerial firing to frighten two dacoits who tried to loot a citizen at gunpoint, informed sources. Upon calling, police rushed to the scene and started investigation, they said.

According to sources, a prize bond dealer was passing near the SLS Montessori School at Lalkurti when all of sudden two dacoits riding on motorcycle intercepted him and pointed gun at his head.  In the meanwhile, the security guards of the school saw the two men trying looting the citizen and opened aerial firing.

After firing, the unknown dacoits fled, they said. The incident has been reported to police.
