KARACHI - Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on Friday submitted a resolution in the Sindh Assembly against the federal and Punjab governments for brutally torturing women and other party activists coming to Islamabad for a protest rally.
The resolution was submitted to the Secretary Sindh Assembly GM Umar Farooq by three PTI Lawmakers Khurram Sher Zaman, Seema Zia and Samar Ali Khan.
Later, talking to media after submitting the resolution, Khuram Sher Zaman said that they had submitted the resolution against the federal and Punjab government for brutally torturing the PTI activists trying to gather for a peaceful protest in Islamabad.
“Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan resorted to brutal torture against the elected chief minister of a province, women, children and other activists,’ he said adding that this reflects a dictatorial attitude from the government.
He also condemned the MQM resolution in national assembly for trying KPK CM Pervez Khattak under article 6 and said that likewise in past, the MQM is still standing alongside the government.
“PPP also looks like in a deal with the federal government as NAB authorities are silent over corrupt practices in the province and it is obvious that both of them are trying to make deal on Dr Asim Hussain for his release,” he said.
He said that the PTI will not stay silent on the corrupt practices across the country and continue to raise its voice for accountability process.
