Kandhkot - Kashmore district police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 110 gamblers and more than 30 drug peddlers during the period of one month. According to press release issued by SSP office, police nabbed 110 gamblers besides recovering Rs85,000 cash, 15 cellphones and one bike and other valuables from their possession besides sealing gambling dens. Police said that in drive against the peddlers across the district, it had also arrested as many as 30 drug peddlers who were involved in the sale of narcotics, particularly locally made wine. Under the initiative, the press release added, police seized 20 kg of bhang, 10 kg of hashish, 22 English bottles, 118 bottles of locally made wine and 200 pockets of gutka. It further added that 13 TT pistols, 04 rifles, 150 rounds and more than 200 bullets were also recovered from their possession.

90 absconders held:

Kashmore police on Saturday also claimed that it had arrested 90 absconders and 111 proclaimed offenders in different raids and operations in the last one month.
