Bilawal for propagating Sufis message

Karachi - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emphasised the need for spreading the message of love and peace of Shah Abdul Lateef Bhittai for the mankind the world over.

On the occasion of 274th annual Urs of the Sufi poet, the PPP chairman said that Sindh was the land of Sufis and shall remain the same for future.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari further said his party was the continuation of Sufi thoughts in modern times as it had also sacrificed its popular leaders for the struggle for downtrodden.

He said that Shah Abdul Lateef Bhittai was a towering philosopher who promoted brotherhood and tranquillity among different segments of the society. Bilawal further said though terrorism was trying to attack and defeat Sufi landmarks, but it would not succeed because Sufism was ingrained deeply in the Indus Valley.

Meanwhile, Bilawal also extended greetings to the Sikh community in Pakistan and the world over on 548th birthday of Guru Nanak Dev.

In a message, the PPP chairman welcomed the Sikh pilgrims to Nankana Sahib from all over the world, the birthplace of the founder of Sikhism.

Bilawal Bhutto said that all the citizens of Pakistan were equal and there was no discrimination between them, which was also ensured by the unanimously adopted constitution given by PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB).

He said that the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev were based on the principles of peace and love for humanity.
