Discussion held on ‘CPEC and the Youth of Pakistan’

 

LAHORE (PR): A round table discussion was held on the topic of “CPEC and the Youth of Pakistan” by the Youth Vision Foundation. The event was chaired by Shakeel Lone, who is a motivational speaker and authority on CPEC and Pak-China relations. Other participants included Dr Tayyaba Hussain President Youth Vision Foundation (YVF), Advocate Asma Faheem, Advocate Farah Jillani, Abdul Basit, President Voice of Animals Foundation Luqman Wajahat, Naeem Iqbal and Mian Waseem Akhter.

Addressing the participants, Shakeel said, “CPEC is a regional face changer promising paradigm shift of power from west to east. The speech of the Chinese president is the new Chinese world order, we can benefit from CPEC if prepared for it timely.” He said that the scope of CPEC has not been communicated to the Pakistanis according to its prospects and international potential. This is the need of hour to educate and aware the youth and business to absorb and rightly utilise the economic and cultural invasion of China in near future through CPEC. KARACHI (PR): The silver jubilee event of the highly anticipated Palmolive Sindh Women’s Swimming Championship is all set to take place on November 18 and 19, 2017. The event is being organised by the Karachi Women’s Swimming Association (KWSA), which Palmolive is proudly supporting as the principal sponsor again, this year.

The opening ceremony of the event will commence at 08:30 am on Saturday, November 18, while the Medal Presentation Ceremony will be held at 05:00 pm on Sunday, November 19. Participation in this thrilling championship will take place in six different categories – 8 years & under; 9 -10 years; 11-12 years; 13-14 years; 15-16 years along with an Open Age Group, in which women of all ages are welcomed to take part.

LDA one-window cell will be closed from Nov 25-Dec 9

LAHORE (PR): In connection with annual maintenance and system upgradation, the one-window cell of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will remain closed for public dealing from November 25 to December 9, 2017.

Neither any application will be accepted nor any challan, for depositing dues, would be issued by LDA during this period. To avoid public inconvenience during system upgradation, LDA has extended working hours of its one-window cell from November 6 to November 24, 2017. The one-window cell will remain functional from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm during week days and till 1.00 pm on Friday. JCR-VIS upgrades ratings of Hascol Petroleum

LAHORE (PR): JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company Ltd (JCR-VIS) has upgraded the entity ratings of Hascol Petroleum Limited (HPL) to ‘AA-/A-1’ (Double A Minus/A-One) from ‘A+/A-1’ (Single A Plus/A-One). Rating of HPL’s secured Sukuk issue of Rs2 billion has also been upgraded to ‘AA’ (Double A) from AA- (Double A Minus). Outlook on the assigned ratings is ‘Stable’.

The ratings reflect increasing market share, significant ongoing and projected investment in infrastructure (storage, retail footprint & supply chain) which will facilitate in sustaining growth momentum. The profitability of the company is expected to depict strong growth on the back of volumetric increase in sales as sizeable new storage capacities will be operational in FY18 and FY19.
