SUKKUR - Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited (PTCL) has launched a campaign to raise awareness about donating blood for the children suffering from Thalassemia.

In this connection, PTCL Sukkur took out a rally from the Railways Ground on Saturday, which after passing through different roads reached in front of the Sukkur Press Club. 

PTCL Regional Manager Muhammad Azam Soomro, Asif Hyder, Shafiullah Kalwar, Awais Ali Shah, Zaheer Ahmed Kalwar and others who led the rally, while addressing the participants, said that the campaign had been launched from the platform of PTCL to create awareness in people about donating blood to those innocent children who were suffering from Thalassemia and needed blood frequently after every few days, adding that the campaign would commence from tomorrow (November 6) throughout the country and would last till November 10, adding that, 25 camps would be set up in different districts of Sukkur Region where people would donate blood which would be provided to the children suffering from Thalassemia in different hospitals. They said that the employees of PTCL were taking part in the campaign enthusiastically and donation of their blood.
