Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Shah Farman has directed the KP Higher Education Department to get a record of all the recruitment in BPS-17 and below from all provincial universities made during the past ten years.

While chairing a senate meeting of the Women University Mardan here on Monday, he said, “We have to see that how recruitments have been made during past 10 years. The recruitments on the basis of political interference and against the merit have become a menace for the higher educational institution and the government is committed to removing anomalies permanently.”

Governor said that a zero-tolerance policy would be observed for higher education institutions for the betterment of educational standards and to get positive results.

He further said that any illegal and against the merit recruitment would not be tolerated at any cost, adding, “We are against unemployment but we have to establish a merit based system in all public sector universities.” Later the senate gave approval of the current fiscal budget for the University.
