Ahtesham beat Asad again in Nayza All Pakistan Jr Tennis

LAHORE - Ahtesham Humayun beat champion Asad Zaman again in the Nayza all Pakistan Junior National Tennis Championship 2021 U-16 semifinals played here at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah on Thursday. 
In the first U-16 semifinal, Ahtesham played well against talented Asad Zaman and stunned him again with a margin of 6-0, 6-4. Ahtesham was off to a flying start as he didn’t allow Asad to earn even a single point, thus won the first set 6-0. In the second set, Ahtesham faced tough resistance from Asad but the winning player held his nerves and won the set 6-4 and also made way to the final, where he will take on Mahatir Muhammad of Karachi, who had to struggle hard to beat spirited Shaeel Durab with a margin of 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. 
In the U-12 quarterfinals, Amir Mazari (Aitchison) was up against talented Hashir Alam and he played tremendous tennis to outclass Hashir with a score of 4-1, 4-1. Omer Jawad also played outstanding tennis against Ismail Aftab and overwhelmed him by 4-0, 4-1 while Nabeel Ali Qayyum showed his class against Abdullah Sajjad and outsmarted him 4-1, 4-1. 
In the U-10 quarterfinals, Abdur Rehman (AAA Associates) trounced Manha Arif 4-0, 4-0, Fajar Fayyaz toppled Mossa Dawood 4-0, 4-1 and Hajra Sohail routed M Abdur Rehman 4-1, 4-3. In the girls U-18 semifinal, Zahra Suleman beat Soha Ali 6-2, 6-2 to set final clash against high-flying Ashtafila Arif, who defeated promising Zainab Ali 6-4, 6-2. In the boys U-18 doubles, Abdullah Adnan and Ali Talha outpaced the pair of Mahatir and Nalain Abbas with a margin of 6-3, 6-3 while M Ahtesham and Faizan took little time to overpower Zaeem and Sohan 6-1, 6-0.
