KARACHI - After peaceful passage of Eid festivities in metropolis, a bomb hoax created panic in the Karachi Expo Centre on Saturday afternoon. SHO Aziz Bhatti police Muhammad Farooq said an anonymous caller phoned 'helpline 15' at about 1:30pm and threatened about presence of a bomb in the Karachi Expo Centre. Police along with the Bomb Disposal Squad and ambulances immediately rushed to the scene. "There was no public activity on account of Eidul Fitr holidays and only staff members were present at the Expo Centre," said In-charge Karachi Expo Centre Riaz Sheikh. They were got vacated by BDS staff, who thoroughly searched every nook and corner of exhibitions centre but fortunately found no such device, SHO maintained. Therefore, they issued a clearance certificate, terming threat as hoax.
