ISLAMABAD - Pakistan number four Yasir Butt has with drawn  from the World Open Squash Championship 2008, which is scheduled to be held from October 11 to 19 at Manchester, England. A source inside the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) disclosed on Saturday that Yasir Butt, who was sponsored by the federation for the top most squash event of the world, refused to visit England due to his sickness. "The PSF has selected Farhan Mehboob, Aamir Atlas Khan, Mansoor Zaman, Waqar Mehboob and Yasir Butt to represent Pakistan in the international competitions. Yasir refused to avail this opportunity of international exposure and the PSF decided to send other four players for the competition. Yasir, who slipped two steps down in the international squash ranking of Professionals Squash Association (PSA) this month from 50 to 52, was not sure to produce acceptable performance in the world open and he decided to with draw from the competition. "The Federation also had warned him to bring positive results in the world open, who had played qualifying round to get berth in the main draw of 32 players. Yasir was shaky to do well in the competition, "source said. Later on, Yasir Butt confirmed it and said he was well prepared for the world open but he badly hit by the fevour during the Eid holidays. "The doctor has advised me to take a rest and I think I cannot perform well in this condition, "he told The Nation on telephone.
