LAHORE Faisalabads University Club clinched Punjab Inter Division Club Championship when they outkicked Arifwalas Al Hilal Club 6-5 on penalties at College Ground, Jaranwala. Under coach Muhammad Afzal and skipper Abdul Razzak, the winners gave better display throughout 90 minutes and their penalty takers proved too good for rival keeper Ismail while their own keeper Tanveer Mumtaz foiled attempts of rival team. The chief guest of the match was famous Faisalabad football personality Allah Dita Awan who was manager of the Faisalabads Crescent Textile Mills that won the National Football Championship in 1987 and 1994. Chaudhry Abdul Rasheed acted as match commissioner in the final while referees were Rana Naseer Ahmed, Nasir Mehmood and Irfan Aslam.
