RAC arranges calligraphy exhibition

Rawalpindi - In connection with sacred month of Muharram-ul-Haram, a calligraphy exhibition by Abbotabad-based senior calligrapher Jahanzeb Malik was arranged under auspices of Rawalpindi Arts Council yesterday.  PML-N MPA and Chairman Rawalpindi Solid Waste Management Department Raja Muhammad Hanif Advocate accompanied by Naheed Manzoor, Aftab Ahmed Khan, Mansoor Rahi, Director NCA Nadeem Umer and Resident Director Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition.

The artist has introduced new calligraphic style in architectural form. Jahanzeb is retired civil servant from communication department, government of KP, and is an engineer by profession who used architectural style in calligraphy. Addressing at the inaugural session, MPA Raja Muhammad Hanif Advocate said that this unique style of calligraphy is his recognition and succeeded to introduce this new technique.

Naheed Manzoor said that Jahanzeb Malik is an amazing artist and calligrapher. Resident Director Waqar Ahmed said that due to Jahanzeb Malik the people of twin cities has witnessed new form of calligraphy. The exhibition would go on display till 8th October 2016, the spokesman of RAC informed.
