KARACHI (PPI) - The Members of Provincial Committee on Kesc constituted by Governor Sindh and Chief Minister have directed Kesc to immediately stop prolonged unannounced load-shedding in various parts of the city. In a joint statement on Friday, Dr Sagheer Ahmed Provincial Health Minister, Rashid Rabbani Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Political Affairs, Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh, Abdul Qadir Khanzada MNA, Syed Khalid Ahmed MPA, Waqar Mehdi, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh, Asmat Ullah Khan and Abdul Razzak Raja Engineer Taimur Ali have said that Kesc should avoid load-shedding specially during Sehr and Iftar timings to facilitate Karachiites.. They further said that it is a general perception that the management of Kesc is not making any serious effort to honor its commitments and promises. The company should enhance its production capacity, repair faulty lines and substations without any further delay, they also demanded. They also expressed reservations over load-shedding in hospitals and health institutions and demanded of Kesc to exempt health institutions from load-shedding to avoid inconvenience being faced by patients. Dr Sagheer and Rashid Rabbani advised the management of the company to take practical steps to end load-shedding which is not only creating inconvenience to Karachiites but also affecting production in industries.
