PESHAWAR - Two personnel of Frontier Constabulary (FC) were killed when armed militants attacked a police van in the outskirts of provincial capital, Nasir Bagh area. Soon after the incident, police cordoned off the area and started search operation. The local police have later arrested several suspected persons for investigation. Meanwhile, at least two militants were killed during a clash with security forces here Friday, while two local tribesmen died in an explosion of a remote-controlled bomb planted adjacent to their home in Ambar. The militants were killed at Baizai areas in the clash that lasted for over five hours. The local tribesmen who were killed in the blast were identified as Naamdar and Beldar Khan. The security forces also demolished suspected hideouts of militants in Atam Kalay and Lakhkar Kalay near Pak-Afghan border. However, no causality was reported till filing of this report.
