ISLAMABAD - The sub committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Sports found cleared Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Asif Bajwa and former player Mansoor Ahmed after observing the report of facts finding committee here on Friday. Convenor of the sub committee, Member National Assembly Romesh Lal presided over the meeting that held at Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) in which the officials of the PHF, the PSB and Ministry of Sports were also present to discuss the issue. Former Olympian Mansoor Ahmed had alleged that Asif Bajwa was involving in human trafficking and used the officials letter-pad of the federation for his family members. Later, the NA Standing Committee formed a sub committee to look into the facts of this issue. Meanwhile, Minister of Sports also constituted three-man facts finding committee under the control of Akhtar Nawaz Gunjeera Deputy Director PSB and Muhammad Yousaf and Azam Dar were the other members of the committee. On Friday, Romesh Lal said that the committee did not get any solid proof for the both side, which could be sufficient to take any serious action against any party. "The committee gave its ruling after observing the documents, which were provided by the both side in the fact finding committee," he said. Later, Muhammad Asif Bajwa said that he would sue in the court against Mansoor Ahmed. "Mansoor attempted to destroy the prestige of the Pakistan Hockey Federation. I will go in the court against him. However, I am satisfied with the proceeding and conclusion of the sub committee," he said. Mansoor and Naveed Alam declared the ruling of the sub committee a friendly opposition. "It was serious matter and FIA should investigate the human trafficking case, said Mansoor after the meeting.
