18 militants killed in Kurram

PESHAWAR At least 18 militants were killed and 12 others got injured in a remote-controlled bomb blast and shelling by the security forces in Kurram Agency on Saturday. According to details, at least 12 militants were killed and six others received injuries when a remote-controlled bomb targeted the vehicle carrying them on Mirandah Road in Central Kurram Agency. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the incident. The deceased belonged to Noor Jamal alias Mullah Tufan group. No one has claimed the responsibility for the attack. The sources said that these attacks could be a result of infighting between these militant groups. In addition, heavy artillery fired by security forces left six militants dead and 10 injured in the Chinark area of Kurram Agency.
