LAHORE - The admissions in Intermediate classes, both in the first and second shift classes have been completed without any late fee in all the government colleges. The admissions with Rs 500 as late fee will start from Monday (tomorrow) which will be completed before Eidul Fitre. The classes will start soon after the summer vacation and Eidul Fitre holidays on Sept 14. The admissions in the existing BA, BSc two years programme and BS (Hons) in 26 colleges will also start from Monday (tomorrow). The 26 colleges including six in the city will start the BS (Hons) for the first time in disciplines of Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Commerce, Mass Communication, Economics and Psychology. The last date for the submission of admission forms for the MA, MSc, in affiliated colleges of the Punjab University has also expired and the entry test will start from Sept 6 to be completed on Sept-ember 9 and the enrolment to be completed by Sept 14 without any late fee. The admission with late fee of Rs 300 would be made up to Sept 27, with late fee of Rs 400 up to Oct 7 and Rs 500 up to Oct 22 subject to the approval of Vice Chancellor, University of Punjab. This facility is beneficial only for those colleges where the seats remain vacant after the expiry of last date of admission without any late fee and not in colleges where competition is tough.
