LAHORE - Pumps and valves manufacturer KSB is committing donor funds of more than Rs10 million as emergency relief for flood victims and subsequent reconstruction. Part of the overall donation is already being spent on relief operations intended to help the afflicted not only survive but also remain healthy. In addition to quickly distributing water, food and medicine, KSB is also setting up six water filtration plants which are to improve the supply of drinking water in the affected regions. KSB will use some of the funds to reconstruct a number of dispensaries and schools. The Pakistani KSB Pumps Limited and its staff have collected donations totaling around Rs5 million Additional funds were donated by KSB AG in Germany and several Asian companies. According to Mohammad Masud Akhtar, Managing Director of KSB Pumps Limited, The KSB Board, the management and the entire KSB team were shocked by this worst-ever national catastrophe and have shown devoted participation in the collection and distribution of funds.
