LAHORE - The University of Management and Technology (UMT) and the Health Consortium of Canada (HCC) inked a MoU. The HCC will provide consultancy and support to UMT to initiate joint degree programs in Management Sciences, Business Administration, Economics and Finance in collaboration with Canadian universities. Both UMT and HCC will work together to plan and launch the Institute of Health Science, having links with the Canadian health sector by offering core courses in nursing, paramedics and pharmacy, leading to establishment of a teaching hospital under the umbrella of the School of Medicine at UMT. The HCC will develop detailed proposals for the sub-projects and submit them to the UMT. All logistic support will be provided by UMT to experts and consultants of HCC. After completion of the review process, HCC will initiate the execution of the project. The MoU was signed by Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector UMT and Syed Yasir Abbas, Country Manager, Health Consortium of Canada (HCC) here on Saturday at the UMT campus in the presence of Dr Sarwar Azhar , Dr Rukhsana Kaleem and senior faculty of the university. The ceremony was attended by heads of all departments as well.
